INTERIOR DESIGN FOR MOUNTAIN HOMES

I'm Graziella, and Casette is my interior design studio in the Aosta Valley. I work with people who live somewhere else and want a home here that is layered, lasting, and entirely their own, not another chalet like every other in the valley. Every home is designed in full before anything is built, so what gets made is exactly what you saw. I take on a small number of projects each year, for clients who understand that a good home takes time.

Designing homes that feel like they’ve always been there.

HOW I WORK

Every project starts with a conversation, about the house, but mostly about how you want to live in it. What you love, what you've saved, what you want to feel when you arrive on a Friday night.

From there, I design the whole home: layout, materials, furniture, lighting, down to the last detail. You'll see every room before anything is built. Once the design is settled, I document it clearly enough that builders and makers know exactly what to do, and I take care of sourcing and ordering so you don't have to.

Most of my clients live elsewhere, so this matters. A clear plan keeps the project moving whether you're here or not, and leaves you free to enjoy watching it come together.

  • Yes, most of my clients live somewhere else. That's exactly why the design and documentation matter so much: everything is decided and drawn before the work starts, so the project keeps moving whether you're here or not.

  • Good work takes time. A full renovation usually runs a year or more, while a single room or a design direction moves faster. I'll give you an honest timeline before anything begins.

  • I work on an hourly basis. After our first conversation, I'll send you a proposal with the scope of each stage and an estimated range of hours for each one, so you know what to expect before we start.

  • That's a normal place to start. I'll help you understand what's realistic for your space and your priorities: where it makes sense to invest, and where it doesn't. Get in touch, and we'll talk it through honestly.

  • Not at all, send me everything you've saved. I use it to understand what you love, and then bring you ideas you might not have found on your own. You'll always be part of the process; you just won't have to lead it.

  • I design collaboratively. Concept boards, materials and samples are shared as we go, so nothing comes as a surprise. Changes are part of the process, not something bolted on at the end.

  • No, and if that's the main reason for hiring an interior designer, I'm probably not the right fit. If a supplier offers a discount on a particular order, I'll happily pass it on, but it's never guaranteed, and it shouldn't be why you hire a designer. You hire one for their eye, their judgment, and their ability to create a home that feels entirely yours.

  • Send me a message with a little about your home and what you're hoping for. I'll tell you honestly whether it feels right, for both of us.
