INTERIOR DESIGN FOR MOUNTAIN HOMES

I'm Graziella, and Casette is my interior design studio in the Aosta Valley. I work with people who live somewhere else and want a home here that is layered, lasting, and entirely their own, not another chalet like every other in the valley. Every home is designed in full before anything is built, so what gets made is exactly what you saw. I take on a small number of projects each year, for clients who understand that a good home takes time.

HOW I WORK

Every project starts with a conversation, about the house, but mostly about how you want to live in it. What you love, what you've saved, what you want to feel when you arrive on a Friday night.

From there, I design the whole home: layout, materials, furniture, lighting, down to the last detail. You'll see every room before anything is built. Once the design is settled, I document it clearly enough that builders and makers know exactly what to do, and I take care of sourcing and ordering so you don't have to.

Most of my clients live elsewhere, so this matters. A clear plan keeps the project moving whether you're here or not, and leaves you free to enjoy watching it come together.

  • Yes. A significant part of our work is remote. We work with clients across Italy, Switzerland, France, and beyond — the right project works regardless of distance.

  • Good work takes time. A full renovation typically runs a year or more. A single room or design direction engagement moves faster. We'll give you an honest timeline before anything begins.

  • We work on an hourly basis. After an initial conversation, we'll outline the scope and give you a clear proposal — no ambiguity about what's included.

  • That's a normal place to start. We'll help you understand what's realistic for your space and your priorities — where it makes sense to invest, and where it doesn't. Reach out and we'll talk through it honestly.

  • Send us a message with a little about the space and what you're looking for. We'll tell you honestly whether it feels right — for both of us.

  • We design collaboratively. Samples, material pairings, and concept boards are part of how we work — so nothing is a surprise. Iteration is built in, not bolted on.

  • No — and if that's your main reason for hiring an interior designer, we're probably not the right fit. If a supplier we work with offers a discount on a particular order, we're happy to pass that along. But it's never guaranteed, and it should never be the reason you hire a designer. You hire a designer for their judgment, their eye, and their ability to create a home that feels yours entirely.
